Grace after Henry by Eithne Shortall - Blog tour.

Grace after Henry by Eithne Shortall.

Grace sees her boyfriend Henry everywhere. In the supermarket, on the street, at the graveyard.

Only Henry is dead. He died two months earlier, leaving a huge hole in Grace's life and in her heart. But then Henry turns up to fix the boiler one evening, and Grace can't decide if she's hallucinating or has suddenly developed psychic powers. Grace isn't going mad - the man in front of her is not Henry at all, but someone else who looks uncannily like him. The hole in Grace's heart grows ever larger.

Grace becomes captivated by this stranger, Andy - to her, he is Henry, and yet he is not. Reminded of everything she once had, can Grace recreate that lost love with Andy, resurrecting Henry in the process, or does loving Andy mean letting go of Henry?

Before i get into it i'd let to just say quickly that as well as a Blog tour i also did this as a read along with my friend Little Ray Of Sunshine, she is also doing a review please go and check it out.

Hmm…. So I don't really know how to start this off as I have mixed feelings about this book.

So let me start by saying the first chapter of this book grabbed me its very hard hitting and graphic with the accident that happens and instantly makes you really like and feel protective over the main character Grace.
This book wasnt really what I was expecting, after the first chapter it takes a totally different route than I thought it would.

The story was a good storyline but at parts, it felt really slow and felt like it wasn't really grabbing me, for me personally I felt that so much more could have been done with the storyline that was there.

This book has ‘Flashbacks’ which I thought was good as you got to know Henry a bit more through these which as I said was good because otherwise there wasn't really much about Henry at all but I have to admit they are very randomly placed.

So as I said at the start I found this book very hard to review, I loved the storyline and for me so so much more could have been put into this book, I would have liked to know abit more about Henry and the background of the Henry and Andy, we know that the family that adopted Herny didnt know there were twins but for me there just wasnt enough about the what Andy was doing once he turned up at Grace’s the story then went onto them 2 and not about Andy trying to find out more of what he came there to do, it just fell abit short for me personally.

I also found this book had very loveable characters which in places you just couldn't help but smile/laugh! Graces mum and dad they for me was everything! Her neighbour I just instantly liked her and I think we all know someone like this character. :)

So to end this review ill say the idea of this book is fantastic and I did like parts of the book just for me some of the chapters fell short and the ending was nice but also didn't tie up all those loose ends I had that I wanted answers for.

I just want to say a quick thank you to Corvus for sending me this book to review.

If you do get this book I hope you enjoy it and leave me a comment saying what you thought.

My rating is:   ✮

I still remember - Review - Blog Tour.

I still remember by  Priya Prithviraj. Blog Tour. Title:  I Still Remember Genre : Contemporary Romance/ Coming-of-Age Age category : Young Adult Release date : May 14, 2017 How do you forget someone you’ve loved once? Ji-woo dreams of becoming a writer and is back in college giving it a second shot. But then Weon-gyu, her first love, comes back into her new life. Will she give up on her dreams or will she write them a happy ending? So… this book is a nice short read, something nice and easy to pick up. I read this on holiday and I wanted something that I could get stuck into but something that wasn’t going to take all my time up if I got stuck into it and to be honest this book did just that I actually finished it in 2 nights. For me personally, I would have liked a bit more background on the characters that are in the book so we could relate to them a bit more. I liked how to story is about a love you once had can turn up at any time
