Tales of Ramion - Blog Tour

Tales of Ramion by   - Blog Tour.

Ramion is a magical place where anything can happen and frequently does. In this collection of enchanting fantasy stories, three young boys travel the realm of Ramion on incredible adventures with their cat Snuggle, escaping from their insidious foes, the witch Griselda who longs to eat them and the Princess of the Night, a keen collector of real human sculptures. Four uniquely wacky stories, Tales of Ramion are great reads for children and are particularly well loved by young boys thanks to the author’s cheeky storytelling and mischievous humour.
Frank Hinks is a successful Chancery QC. From childhood, he dreamt of being both barrister and writer, but as an artist he’s not self-taught but wife-taught, developing his unique style under the uncompromising gaze of his wife, Susan Haire, a professional artist. The series was inspired by his eldest son, Julius who would give him the first line of a story at bedtime and leave him to carry on without any idea where it was going. These stories have evolved into books with colour illustrations of full-page gouache paintings.

So I'd like to just start off by saying a big thank you to Midas PR Agency for sending me 2 of these amazing books to review.

I was sent:

When the Dream Thief steals their mother’s dream of being an artist the boys and their Dream Lord cat, Snuggle, set off to rescue her dream. The party, including their mother as a six year old child, pass through the Place of Nightmares (where butterflies with butterfly nets, game birds with shot guns and fish with fishing rods try to get them) and enter the Land of Dreams where with the help of Little Dream and the Hero Dreamhogs they seek the stronghold of the Dream Thief and brave the mighty Gnargs, warrior servants of the Princess of the Night.

In the magical forest there are Globerous Ghosts, Venomous Vampires, Scary Scots and Mystic Mummies, who (like other mummies) cannot stand boys who pick their noses. The boys are in constant danger of being turned into ghostly globs, piles of dust or being exploded by very loud bagpipe music. Thankfully, Ducky Rocky is there to help them as are Racing Racoons and the incredibly brave Hero Hedgehogs.

So let me start by just saying how amazingly beautiful these books are, the covers and the pages inside are lovely!

I started with The dream thief and for anyone who either knows me or who has read some of my blog knows I love fairy tales or anything magical and this sounded right up my street.

For a few good weeks now I have found it had to get back into reading after health problems and the death of my dad but these really got my attention and once I started I really did enjoy reading again!

I read The dream thief with my little cousin (10) and she enjoyed it as much as I did (well the big kid in me would lol)

All the characters are so well imagined and the story is very well written for both adults and children alike, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Once The dream thief was sadly finished I started Creatures of the forest, which I had to read on my own as my little cousin went home, so I'm fully expecting to be told of when she comes back to visit lol.

Well, I have to say I think this was my favorite of the 2, the characters in this one and the story I really did enjoy.

The pictures again are just stunning and really add to the magic of the book.

Honestly, I cannot put into words how much I really enjoyed these books and I will definitely be getting the other 2 to complete the set!

I would highly recommend giving these ago I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

If you do get these books I hope you enjoy it and leave me a comment saying what you thought.

My rating is:   ✮ ✮

Thank you for reading.

I still remember - Review - Blog Tour.

I still remember by  Priya Prithviraj. Blog Tour. Title:  I Still Remember Genre : Contemporary Romance/ Coming-of-Age Age category : Young Adult Release date : May 14, 2017 How do you forget someone you’ve loved once? Ji-woo dreams of becoming a writer and is back in college giving it a second shot. But then Weon-gyu, her first love, comes back into her new life. Will she give up on her dreams or will she write them a happy ending? So… this book is a nice short read, something nice and easy to pick up. I read this on holiday and I wanted something that I could get stuck into but something that wasn’t going to take all my time up if I got stuck into it and to be honest this book did just that I actually finished it in 2 nights. For me personally, I would have liked a bit more background on the characters that are in the book so we could relate to them a bit more. I liked how to story is about a love you once had can turn up at any time

But then Henry turns up to fix the boiler one evening, and Grace can't decide if she's hallucinating or has suddenly developed psychic powers. Reminded of everything she once had, can Grace recreate that lost love with Andy, resurrecting Henry in the process, or does loving Andy mean letting go of Henry?                                                                                ✮   ✮   Before i get into it i'd let to just say quickly that as well as a Blog

The Binding Song by Elodie Harper - Blog tour.

The binding song by Elodie Harper. A chilling debut for fans of Mo Hayder and Sharon Bolton, THE BINDING SONG takes you on a trip to Halvergate Prison. If you're lucky, you'll get to leave... The staff are hostile, the threat of violence is ever-present, and there are rumors of an eyeless woman stalking the corridors, punishing the inmates for their sins. Janet is determined to find out what is really going on. But the longer she stays and the deeper she digs, the more uncertain she feels. Halvergate is haunted by something. But it may be a terror worse than ghosts...
